Palette Productions has just completed an unforgettable 5-day abstract art workshop with Joan Fullerton. Artists came from all over the United States to attend her workshop. We laughed all week long. We splashed paint around, we produced paintings, and best of all we networked with each other and made new friends.
Joan will come back to Pensacola next spring. If you ever had a notion to learn how to create abstract art, but know nothing about how to begin, this would be the workshop to attend. Granted it might be a bit pricey for a “newbie” but, if you have the motivation to dive into abstract painting, Joan Fullerton is the perfect start. Her workshops fill up quickly, so keep your eye out for our announcement of Joan’s return to Palette Productions in 2024.
Imagine taking a workshop where you don’t even have to know how to draw! Well this is the ONE! Micah will take us through a lesson in experimenting with gels and pastes with different textures using a photograph that you bring to class that has been copied with a laser printer. We will then take that image and enhance it with collage materials, color and texture. Think about your favorite pet, or a photo of your granddaughter or grandson, wife… husband… horse…. and on and on! The copied photo will be adhered to a gesso board and the fun will begin. The only supplies that you will need to bring to class are the copies that you want to work with, a palette knife or two, paper towels, and an apron. You are welcome to bring your own collage papers, stencils, and brushes, but it is not necessary! This all starts on May 15th for 3 days. Sign up soon before the class fills up!
Check out this art workshop coming up in May! Micah Goguen, from Macon, Georgia will be teaching this 3-day workshop at Framing by Design, working in acrylics and related water media. All supplies are included, so it is a wonderful chance to take advantage of this money-saving opportunity without having to purchase supplies for the workshop.
Artists of all levels are invited. You will not need “drawing skills” as we will be working with copies of your photographs. Explore the different textures, mediums, and artistic ideas, and leave with a piece created by YOU!
Palette Productions will provide details and workshop registration information. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call Pat Page at 850-293-5414.
