Douglas Walton is an Architect, artist and art instructor. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Silver Medal for excellence in Architecture. After 5 years of graduate work there, he was privately employed in Louisiana. While teaching at Louisiana Tech, he discovered his passion for art and began teaching art at Louisiana Tech. The first art encounter was held at Tech in 1977. He had developed a powerful gift to open new worlds for others by teaching philosophy of creative thought and process. He believes that we have genius within and makes students believe in themselves.
