Kathie George

Kathie George, known for her friendly, informative and energetic approach to teaching, has been a popular workshop instructor for over 35 years. She loves her job and it shows! Although best known for her award-winning “watercolor batik on rice paper” paintings, she enjoys working in all water media.

Kathie’s work and teaching has been featured in many publications, such as: Watercolor Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Watercolor Artist, Artist Magazine, and a total of 6 of the Splash books. Most recently included in the Splash Retrospective –20 years of Contemporary Watercolor Excellence, she is a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society and Florida Watercolor Society. Her Journey Workshops throughout the world continue to inspire painters of all levels.
