Mary Anne Staples

Mary Anne lives in Pensacola and has been an artist all her life. She has been a private art teacher for over 45 years to children ages 6 years to 16. She teaches them in acrylics, watercolor and ceramics. In addition she has taught art at Catholic High School for 18 years where her students worked in many mediums and won local awards. She also taught for eight years to third grade students at Sacred heart Cathedral School.

Mary Anne is an accomplished artist and twice winner of the Florida Water Color Society Best in Show Award. She has also been a winner of a medal in the American Watercolor Society. She was juried into the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival for 10 years and twice winner of first-place in watercolor.  She has actively participated in the Florida Watercolor Society in many roles within the organization.

Mary Anne has a Bachelor of Art from St. Mary’s Dominican Collage and has taken many additional classes at Pensacola State College, Louisiana Tech University and workshops from nationally known artists.

Mary Anne works in semi-realism, abstract to non-objective in acrylics, watercolor and mixed media.
