INSTRUCTORS

Mary Richardson

Retired educator, Mary Richardson”s fascination with the structure of books first led her to use making books as a learning tool in her classrooms and later, for her own pleasure, to explore many ways books can be constructed. She learned from LarryLou Foster, Marie Bruscher and Celeste Hansel but is otherwise largely self-taught.  She has had books exhibited in libraries in Panama City, Crestview and Pace, and in UWF’s Gallery 88.

Mary has taught book-making workshops for the Baker Block Museum, Crestview Library, Pace Library, Santa Rosa Art Association and the Pensacola Calligraphy Guild.  She continues to explore the book arts with like-minded friends in the Experimental Arts Book Arts Guild (Panama City) and Books Arts Guild (Pace).
