Accolades for Palette Productions Art Workshops!
Thank you to our workshop participants for their kind comments. We work hard to bring a variety of accomplished teaching artists to our Pensacola workshops (acrylics, watercolors, mixed media and more). Creating a fun learning environment where all artists can learn and grow is our mission. We are thrilled that you appreciate our efforts and hope to see you again at a future workshop!
Palette Productions’ watercolor workshop really challenged me to work hard. David Smith instructs on all levels, explaining the basics while also exploring more difficult approaches as well. My brain is full! Thank you so much!
David Smith is both an excellent artist and teacher. He demonstrated several new techniques in the process of producing beautiful paintings. He explained how to obtain the desired results, demonstrated the techniques, and was generous in sharing his knowledge, reference photos, and notes. He gave individuals plenty of help in learning the process. Thanks for having this workshop.
I haven’t taken a watercolor class for 25 years but I’ve loved playing around with it at home. I was intimidated to take a class with a professional artist, figuring that I would be way behind the rest of the class. Thankfully, there were all levels of artists. I was impressed by the enthusiasm and kindness of the other participants. I learned a lot and had so much fun. I would definitely come back for another workshop!
Years ago I saw a video of David Smith demonstrating a misty lake effect in watercolor. Imagine my excitement when I realized he was coming to Palette Productions in Pensacola. His workshop did not disappoint! His teaching talent is just as great as his talent as an artist. If you enjoy color as an artist, David can certainly show you many ways to incorporate those colors in value studies to yield beautiful compositions.
Palette Productions, as usual, put up another great workshop. But, David Smith’s watercolor class was above and beyond. He is an incredible teacher with great patience, kindness and, last but not the least, a great sense of humor. Glad I was part of this great experience!
Pat Page, owner of Palette Productions, was the ultimate of hostesses to us all! She ensured all 24 students had exactly what they needed, greeted each of us with name badges, and her email communication before the course was exemplary. This set the tone for a warm, friendly environment for each of us. Throughout the day, she would provide yummy treats (both healthy and some nice and sweet), a variety of beverages, with a fresh pot of coffee always brewing! The space was perfect as well, plenty of room to set-up our supplies and easels, and a great common space to watch the instructor’s teachings. I’ve attended workshops before and I would say this was one of the finest. I felt well taken care of, which I know is not easy to achieve with so many attendees! Thank you Pat Page!! 🙂
