I am a Destin Resident who has been introduced to Pat Page at Palette Productions when I attended the Bob Burridge workshop. I’m in Mary Anne Staples watercolor class today, I’ve signed up for an abstract Acrylic class in September and an abstract Pastel class in October. I’m fortunate enough to have a sister who lives nearby so my lodging is provided but if you live in the vicinity, do try one of her workshops. Good people and lots of fun.

The Mary Anne Staples’ Watercolor Basics and Beyond presented by Palette Productions was a first art workshop for me. I have been reluctant to take workshops in the past feeling like I was not ready. I was wrong! Mary Anne’s presentation was fantastic and easy to understand. She was always open for questions and answered them so I felt like I could understand. Everyone in the group was so easy to work with and made you feel comfortable.  I feel like I have a new art family.

Thank you Pat Page for encouraging me to take this workshop and thank you Mary Anne for being such a great teacher.

This is a wonderful workshop! You are the best hostess. Always helpful, smiley, bringing life to every moment. I enjoyed painting; I’m falling in love head over heels with watercolor! The setting is perfect, you’ve thought of every detail!

Mary Anne is a darling and I’ve learned a lot. One suggestion, if I may: a microphone for the speaker and asking those who ask questions to stand up or talk loud so that everyone can profit of doubts, clarification, hacks! Thank YOU! This was the first class I have taken through Palette Productions Pensacola. Thanks to Pat Page who works so hard to organize these workshops.

Mary Anne’s class was amazing. I had never painted with watercolors so everything is new to me. She taught great techniques for beginners as well as advanced artists. I had so much fun meeting fellow artists and learning from everyone in the class.

After such a wonderful, fun experience, I have decided to take more classes in the future.

This was my first attempt at watercolor painting. Mary Anne was a great teacher in showing different techniques, problem solving and the basics of elements and design.

I learned a lot from her and my fellow classmates. The class included beginners as well as established, very good artists. The comradery made the class fun and topics come up that the teacher might not cover. A great learning experience.

I have enjoyed Mary Anne Staples’ workshop so much! First time watercolor newbie, but learned so much. New techniques, new ideas, and new friends! Really recommend taking any workshop Pat Page and Palette Productions has for artists.

However, this particular watercolor workshop with local artist, Mary Anne Staples, is by far my favorite. I love her art style! (I want to be her!!!) It has been exactly what I’ve needed to help me move away a bit from being so detailed with my art. A great experience – I didn’t want it to end 🙁
